Search, find & connect with the Abu Dhabi government

On day 4 of GITEX Global 2024, Abu Dhabi Government launched significant projects aimed at delivering AI-native next-generation public services in the emirate.

Emphasising seamless customer experiences and innovative data solutions, Abu Dhabi government entities continued to finalise key memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to advance the emirate’s strategic agenda and concluded a four-day elite hackathon.

Among the highlights was the introduction of the Emergency Ambulance Services Systems by Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA). This cutting-edge system is an advanced mobile solution for modern pre-hospital care. It facilitates real-time communication among emergency services and hospitals while optimising data capture through modular applications that improve clinical performance and service quality.

In partnership with Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB), the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) launched the Credit Reports service on TAMM, which allows citizens and residents to access their credit reports directly through the platform. This service provides users with fast, secure and comprehensive financial data, empowering them to make informed financial decisions and manage their credit effectively.

Additionally, the Emergencies Crises and Disasters Management Center – Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) launched its Training and Exercises System as part of the crisis management platform, enhancing readiness and response through a comprehensive digital system supporting joint exercises. This integrated platform connects with 23 local entities and federal entities, automating procedures and enhancing data analysis to ensure local and federal entities’ effective response strategies.

Moreover, the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) unveiled its Full Robotics Program, integrating AI and robotics across critical sectors such as healthcare and education. This initiative aims to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency while reducing administrative burdens.

The Hemaya digital platform, developed for ADCDA, was also unveiled. This platform documents safety and protection procedures for facilities and buildings, integrating government systems electronically to streamline customer interactions and expedite transactions without requiring visits to service centres.

Furthermore, the Family Development Foundation launched the Digital System for Social Support for Senior Citizens, a comprehensive digital system for social support for Abu Dhabi citizens and residents aged 55 and older. This proactive service delivery platform is tailored to individual needs and ensures accessibility through multiple channels, including the TAMM platform, website, email, Senior Citizens Support Line and in-person visits to foundation centres.

Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) launched its Data for Good Alliance framework to promote data collaboration between businesses and government to create economic opportunities and drive innovation that supports Abu Dhabi’s social and economic goals.

In addition to these innovations, several key MoUs were signed. These included a collaboration between ADCDA and Honeywell that will enhance ADCDA’s readiness through a comprehensive platform that integrates existing systems for improved monitoring and emergency response capabilities. The MoU between TAMM and AECB solidifies the partnership to enhance access to credit reports via the TAMM platform, promoting financial transparency for residents. The agreement between ADCM and Space42 aims to bolster emergency response capabilities using advanced digital and AI technologies, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Finally, the partnership between ADCDA and Core42 will lead to the development of an advanced digital maintenance portal that streamlines safety compliance and enhances operational efficiencies in fire prevention.

The day concluded with the DGE Elite Hackathon Awards Ceremony, highlighting the innovative solutions crafted throughout the event. This hackathon sought to uncover the UAE’s premier cyber talent by inviting university students skilled in defence security, offensive and active security, threat intelligence, and vulnerability assessment. The participants faced a high-stakes environment, defending their own systems while attempting to breach those of their competitors, all while navigating advanced live cyber threats.

As GITEX Global 2024 approaches its conclusion, Abu Dhabi Government remains committed to pushing the boundaries of AI-powered public services. More than 30 government entities and partners are showcasing their initiatives at the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion until 18 October, under the theme Towards an AI-Native Government.
